How to use

  1. Set your trip. Type a start and destination, or click the map. Add checkpoints if you like, and drag markers to adjust. Each checkpoint has a stay time, 15 minutes by default, and arrival times include it.
  2. Describe your car. Tank size, consumption, fuel at start and the level you refill below. Pick gas station brands to see only those.
  3. Plan the route. Compare the alternative routes and their times, pick one in the list or on the map, then press Pick stops.
  4. Choose fuel stops. Each refuel point in the roadmap suggests stations near the road with the detour each one adds; press Choose to add one to your route.
  5. Explore along the way. Drag the slider to see location, weather, traffic and fuel at that point. Release it to load places within 20 km: those closest to your route get a small icon above the slider and a name on the map. Press + to add one as a stop. Larger icons mark your stops; drag a suggested fuel stop to refuel earlier. Gas stations and food inside the circle around each suggested fuel stop show on the map. Click any point on the map to remove it.
  6. Take it with you. Open the route in Google Maps or copy the link.

Why this exists

My red motorcycle parked by a mountain road

I ride a motorcycle with a tank of about 13 litres, and it burns more than 6 L every 100 km. So the next fuel stop is always on my mind.

And honestly, I'm bad at planning routes. Google Maps and the other navigation apps are great, just not for the way I plan a ride.

So I built the planner I wanted: where to refuel, where to rest, what the weather will be. I hope it helps you too. See you on the road.
